The Green Bay Packers still have quite a few needs to address as the 2026 NFL Draft continues to draw closer.
Without a first-round pick due to the blockbuster trade with the Dallas Cowboys for Micah Parsons, the Packers face an uphill battle to filling all of the roster holes. However, a new potential option may have become available.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Friday, April 10, that the Indianapolis Colts and cornerback Kenny Moore have decided to pursue a trade this offseason.
Earlier this offseason, Green Bay and the Colts worked out a trade involving linebacker Zaire Franklin. Could the two teams come together on a deal to improve the Packers’ secondary? The cornerback position is one of Green Bay’s biggest needs.
With that being said, the Packers have been connected as a top potential trade suitor for Moore.
Packers Connected to Potential Kenny Moore Trade
CBS Sports analyst Jordan Dajani has named Green Bay as one of the top landing spots for Moore. He also name-dropped a few other teams.
Among the other teams mentioned were the Carolina Panthers, Dallas Cowboys, Miami Dolphins, and Kansas City Chiefs.
“The Green Bay Packers already traded for a Colt this offseason in Zaire Franklin. Let’s make it two-for-two and get Moore to Green Bay,” Dajani wrote.
“Franklin would probably stand on the table for his former teammate. He even posted a picture with Moore on social media after this “mutually parting of ways” news broke. Moore would improve this Packers defense, but the only problem is Green Bay has a physical slot many like in Javon Bullard.”
Moore has been a very underrated player for Indianapolis throughout his career. If the Packers were to acquire him, they would be adding a playmaker and leader to their defense.
Kenny Moore Could Be Exactly What Green Bay Needs
During the 2025 NFL season with the Colts, Moore played in 14 games. He racked up 55 total tackles to go along with 1.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, an interception, a defensive touchdown, and six defended passes.
Since coming into the NFL back in the 2017 season, the 30-year-old veteran has played in a total of 132 games. He has racked up 649 tackles, 11.5 sacks, six foced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, 21 interceptions, four defensive touchdowns, and 67 defended passes.
New defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon could use help at the cornerback position. Adding more defensive playmaking should be a priority for Green Bay.
Expect to continue hearing the Packers linked as a potential destination for Moore. He would make a lot of sense and would allow Green Bay to focus elsewhere during the 2026 NFL Draft later this month.
