Steelers’ Offseason Phase One Highlights

Many members of the Pittsburgh Steelers were back in the South Side facility this week for the start of Phase One of the offseason program, getting a jump on the start of a new season under first-year head coach Mike McCarthy.

Big names including Cameron Heyward, T.J. Watt, Jalen Ramsey, Alex Highsmith, DK Metcalf, and more were in the building for the start of the offseason. The buy-in is real with the Steelers, and it was great to see a number of key pieces going through offseason workouts during the week.

Steelers Set To Unveil New Youth Facility

The Steelers are set to unveil a new state-of-the-art community field and youth recreation complex at Hazelwood Green, according to WTAE.

According to WTAE, the Hazelwood Green complex is on the site of the former LTV Steel Pittsburgh Works and spans 178 acres. That area is directly cross the Monongahela River from the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex on the South Side.

The facility will be operated by Steelers Charities and will feature the Steelers logo on the field.

EAGLES TRADE FOR WR

With just under two weeks before the start of the 2026 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles are busy shoring up the roster, particularly at wide receiver.

By trading Dontayvion Wicks, the Packers saved $2.6 million in salary cap space.

According to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Eagles traded for wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks from the Green Bay Packers Friday night, adding another body to the position group. With the trade, the Eagles are also signing Wicks to a one-year, $12.5 million extension.

The Eagles confirmed the trade Saturday, sending a 2026 fifth-round pick and a 2027 seventh-round pick to the Green Bay Packers.
