Joe Cole makes early West Ham vs Arsenal prediction with title race and relegation implications

West Ham have six games remaining in the 2025/26 Premier League season in which to avoid relegation to the Championship.

The Hammers’ next three matches are against Crystal Palace, Everton and Brentford, before they welcome Arsenal to the London Stadium.

This London derby against the Gunners will have significant implications for both the title race and the relegation battle.

Ex-West Ham playmaker Joe Cole has just made an interesting early prediction for the game on Sunday, 10 May.

Assuming West Ham stay up, would you rather see Arsenal bottle the league or Tottenham go down? 🤔

Joe Cole predicts West Ham draw vs Arsenal

Joe Cole and Joleon Lescott were asked to predict the results of Arsenal’s final seven games of the Premier League campaign.

The video was posted before the Gunners’ home fixture against Bournemouth on Saturday lunchtime.

Arsenal’s third-to-last match in their title pursuit will be a trip to the London Stadium to face Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.

And Cole expects the North Londoners to show signs of fragility, as West Ham hold them to an important 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, former Manchester City defender Lescott also expects Arsenal to drop points in a 2-2 stalemate.

While this would be a significant blow to the Gunners, West Ham would surely be delighted to take a point from the league leaders.

The Hammers will view Arsenal at home and Newcastle away as bonus games, where even draws would be celebrated.

They will be targeting around seven points from the other four fixtures: Crystal Palace, Everton, Brentford and Leeds.
