Chelsea wonderkid Estevao Willian is now the second player at Stamford Bridge to have an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of over €100 million. In April’s update, the 18-year-old Brazilian star crossed the symbolic line, and Football Transfers’ proprietary algorithm now gives the former Palmeiras player an ETV of €101 million.
According to the model, which uses hundreds of in-game data points, Estevao is now behind only midfielder Moises Caicedo, who is worth €112 million. The teenager came to West London last summer in a €45 million deal from Palmeiras. He has quickly proven that he is worth that much by becoming one of the most exciting young players in the Premier League this season.
Liam Rosenior, the manager of Chelsea, was quick to point out how important the teenager is after he came back from an injury:
“We’ve missed him for two months, and I think in the games we’ve had, he would’ve made a huge difference for us in certain moments. It’s great that he looks really fresh and really fit coming back, and he’s going to play a huge part for us from now until the end of the season.”
The Brazilian has scored eight goals and set up four others in 34 games this season, which means he scores about every 133 minutes he plays. The teen is back from a hamstring injury, and he scored and assisted in his first game back, a 7-0 FA Cup win over Port Vale.
Cole Palmer is third in the Chelsea hierarchy, behind Estevao, with a value of €98.2 million. His value has gone up from €96.7 million last month, even though he had a disappointing season, and there were rumours he might move back north. Enzo Fernandez is worth €83 million and has been pushing for a move to Real Madrid. Joao Pedro is the fifth-highest-paid player for the Blues, worth €71.3 million after moving in the summer.
PSG Readying €100m Move as Estevao’s Valuation Soars
Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly ready to make a real offer this summer that matches that crazy €100 million price tag. The French champions are looking at Estevao as a possible replacement for Bradley Barcola because they are uncertain about the winger’s future at the Parc des Princes.
Chelsea, on the other hand, are very unlikely to consider any offers for a player they see as key to their long-term plans. The club and the teenager are now focused on their important Premier League game against Manchester City on Sunday. Rosenior’s team are in a tight race for the top five spots in the Champions League.
