Scott McTominay and Rasmus Hojlund combine for Napoli goal but Italian media don't forgive 'mistakes'

Former Manchester United duo Scott McTominay and Rasmus Hojlund could see their league title dreams slip away at Napoli.

Napoli were held to a 1-1 draw against Parma in Serie A on Saturday and both Manchester United loanee Rasmus Hojlund and Carrington graduate Scott McTominay featured in the match.

McTominay has already won Serie A in his debut season at Napoli, but his title defence is waning. Hojlund was hoping to get his hands on a league title, but Antonio Conte’s side now trail Inter Milan by six points despite having played one more match than their rivals.

Napoli fell behind in the first minute to Parma, but former Manchester United duo Hojlund and McTominay combined to draw Napoli level.

Hojlund set up McTominay to strike from the edge of the box. The Scottish midfielder netted his 12th goal of the season.

The duo played 34 matches together at United but only combined to score once – in the 4-3 defeat to Copenhagen in the Champions League.

This is only the second time that Hojlund and McTominay have combined in what was their 33rd match together in Napoli colours.
