Piers Morgan's post after Man City fan drinks from Arsenal bottle at Stamford Bridge goes viral

Piers Morgan has reacted on social media after a Manchester City fan went viral for taunting Arsenal during their victory over Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.

The Gunners knew a victory over Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon would give them a 12-point lead at the top of the Premier League. They were unable to get the three points they wanted, though, as they fell to a shock 2-1 defeat to the Cherries.

Arsenal's nearest challengers, Man City, travelled to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea the following day with the intention of cutting the gap at the top to six points.

And that's exactly what they did as they cruised past Liam Rosenior's side. Nico O'Reilly, Marc Guehi and Jeremy Doku were all on the scoresheet as City ran out comfortable 3-0 victors.

The Gunners have suffered some poor results in recent weeks, losing in the Carabao Cup final to City and being dumped out of the FA Cup to Southampton. Pressure is now seriously mounting on Arsenal as they look to become champions of England for the first time since 2004.

Man City fans in the away end at Stamford Bridge were jubilant and one of their supporters has gone viral after brutally mocking Arsenal. The supporter was captured drinking from an Arsenal bottle - suggesting that they were going to lose their nerve in the title race.

Piers Morgan, an avid Arsenal supporter, was watching the match from home, and he made his feelings clear after seeing the Man City supporter's actions. He wrote:

"You going to take this mockery, @Arsenal? Or are you going to stand up, show some bottle, and fight for this Title like it means more than life or death?"

In another post, he wrote: "‘The best revenge is massive success’ - Frank Sinatra."

Gary Neville: Arsenal Have Got to Beat Man City

Mikel Arteta

Arsenal and Man City will go head-to-head at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday April 19 in what could be a title decider. Gary Neville thinks Mikel Arteta's side have to win the match. He said on Sky Sports, per the Metro:

"I have thought for a number of years with this Arsenal team that they’ve got to go and win a game that shakes the world. They’ve got to go to City next week and win.

"It doesn’t matter how it happens – they could get battered in the first half, but be goalless half-time, but then go and nick one with 15 minutes to go, and all of a sudden the lights come on and you’re nine points clear. That’s what Arsenal have got to believe this week.

"Mikel Arteta is always looking to try and find a way of how to gain an advantage and he’s got to try and find something this week.’

He continued: "I do feel now is the time for Arsenal. I’m not going to go and say it’s now or never, but it does feel a bit like that.

"If you’ve had five years of trying to climb that mountain, and you’ve just failed at that final hurdle each time, there has to be a moment where you get over the line.

"Arsenal will crawl over the line. I don’t think they’ll get over the line easily, they might even lose next week, but I do think they’ve probably got a little bit of a cushion.

"Manchester City aren’t perfect, and Arsenal will just get there, but they’re in a lot more trouble than they were at 12.30pm on Saturday, when they were just about to kick off against Bournemouth."
