Arsenal are planning a move for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia this summer. However, PSG have a firm stance that will make it very hard for the Gunners to complete this deal.

Arsenal eye Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from PSG

As per reports, Arsenal are planning a move for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia this summer transfer window. Arsenal’s attention towards him hints at deeper plans beyond just winning matches. Instead of settling, they seem set on reshaping how they attack more sharp and more unpredictable.

The Georgian winger brings something few others can when it comes to breaking rigid defenses. While many options exist, his traits line up closely with what the team aims to build over years in the Premier League.

Now at PSG, Kvaratskhelia keeps performing since his time at Napoli. He is great at dribbling, thinks ahead and stays calm under pressure. These traits put him among the top forwards in Europe right now. He moves wide left but then cuts inward often, this might shift how Arsenal’s front players work together. He fits where space opens and not just one spot. Therefore, perfectly suited for what Mikel Arteta wants at the club.

What draws Mikel Arteta isn’t just how he plays, yet where it fits long-term. Arsenal have plenty of players up front. Although there are none who reliably take on defenders alone when matches get tight. Into that gap steps Kvaratskhelia with his sudden moves and bold choices. Thus, he can be someone who shifts outcomes when tension rises.

This move is nowhere near just filling gaps, Arsenal seem focused on lifting their main lineup higher. This latest hint of interest fits right into that pattern they’ve been building lately. Instead of signing backups, the team now chases those few players who shift games. Bringing in Kvaratskhelia would increase the squad depth and quality. This is something the Gunners would want for the upcoming season.

PSG stance and record fee obstacle

Even though Arsenal really wants him, signing Kvaratskhelia would be really hard. PSG have shown zero interest in letting him leave. Also, the football player seems happy and enjoying his life at PSG.

Only few players shine at their new clubs the way he has performed at Paris. Big games brought out the fire and hunger from him. Thus, indicating he can play at the top level when matches get tight. In this case, he has caught everyone’s attention. His game is not just flashes of brilliance but a result of consistent hard work and smart work. Therefore, talks of him leaving feel very unlikely because of his current form and situation.

Offers still roam around and clubs wait to see if his mind wants a new chapter. However, even if he wants to leave in future, money wise things still remain tough. PSG might ask for an huge money if they decide to sell, possibly over £150 million. That amount wouldn’t just break Arsenal’s previous record in transfers but it will put pressure on their financial books.

This brings up serious questions about planning ahead. Arsenal shape a team ready for challenges on several fronts. Thus, putting so much into one player might hold back improvements elsewhere. Their rise lately ties closely to having strong options at every position. Thus, focusing too much only on a single position might hurt their planning elsewhere.

Author’s Opinion

Arsenal are interested in signing Khvicha Kvaratskhelia this summer. However, due to stance of PSG this deal becomes very complicated. PSG like the player and see him as part of their future. Also, Khvicha is happy in Paris and has not mentioned to leave the club. Therefore, at this point it looks like a closed door that Arsenal find themselves staring at. However, if the situation changes it will be interesting to see, will Arsenal sign Khvicha Kvaratskhelia this summer?
