Manchester United can tighten their grip on third place in the Premier League when they take on Leeds United tonight.
It’s been 34 days since Michael Carrick’s side were last in action but results elsewhere at the weekend have been kind to them with Aston Villa and Chelsea both dropping points.
A win tonight will see them open up daylight between those and the chasing pack in the battle for Champions League qualification.
Leeds are not safe yet – good results for Nottingham Forest and West Ham United threaten to pull them into the relegation battle but a shock win tonight at Old Trafford would go some way in alleviating those concerns.
Metro’s LIVE matchday blog will bring you all the build-up, confirmed team news and starting XIs, goal updates and minute-by-minute coverage.
