Report: Chelsea could make quick swoop for £90m attacker after enquiry

Chelsea look ready to strike in the battle for one of their key transfer targets.

The Blues are likely to be busy in the summer transfer window, especially if they fail to qualify for the Champions League.

Chelsea will be desperate to improve their team and already have several transfer targets that could help them to do that.

If you could pick Chelsea’s next no.10, would you have Bellingham or Rogers?

Chelsea could make swift move for Morgan Rogers

One player Chelsea are extremely keen on is Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers. Last week, it was reported that Chelsea want to field Rogers and Cole Palmer together in the same attack next season.

Sky Sport CH has now claimed that the Club World Cup winners have made a series of enquiries to the player’s representatives and could move quickly for him.

According to their report, Villa value the attacking midfielder at £90m. It is a fee that Chelsea can afford to pay, but they may struggle to convince him to move to Stamford Bridge if they miss out on Champions League qualification.

The No.10 position could become a priority for the Conference League holders if Enzo Fernandez leaves west London this summer.

Fernandez has played as an attacking midfielder this season and has done a good job in the role. However, he is being heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid and has not played down speculation.

Morgan Rogers signing should improve mood among fan base

Chelsea supporters have been very critical of the club’s recruitment under Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley.

The signing of Rogers, though, should be one that the whole fan base is able to get behind if it happens.

Rogers is a talented attacker with Premier League experience. This season, he has scored eight goals and provided five assists in 32 top-flight outings.

Compared to Pedro Neto, Estevao Willian and Alejandro Garnacho, his attacking output has been better. He will be an exciting signing for the Blues if they can get a deal over the line.
