Manchester United and Chelsea keen on Sangaré

The player’s impressive performances for the French club haven’t gone unnoticed in the Premier League.

That’s according to Calciomercato.it, who mention Manchester United and Chelsea in a report focusing on Juventus.

The Serie A side are fourth in the table, two points ahead of fifth placed Como and three ahead of sixth placed AS Roma.

The Old Lady are already working on a few operations even though everything will depend on the Champions League qualification.

As a part of their plan, Juve are looking at RC Lens’ Mamadou Sangaré for the midfield. Manchester United and Chelsea are also showing interest in the Malian, and the two clubs are ready to launch a major auction in the next window.

Therefore, Juventus general manager Damien Comolli intends to accelerate to try and get ahead of the Premier League duo in the transfer race.

The Turin club are unlikely to move until the end of this season, which gives both the Red Devils and the Blues time to make advances. The Lens man’s value is around €30m, and it could rise further with a potential bidding war.

Our take: Fee shouldn’t be issue for PL duo

Manchester United or Chelsea are unlikely to find an issue to pay €30m in the summer and their sporting projects could probably be key to convincing the midfielder.

Mamadou Sangaré has to make a decision and there’s no mention of his stance on a potential transfer. His contract is until 2030, and Transfermarkt value him at €30m.

The Red Devils need to bring in at least one new midfielder and last month, Sport Witness relayed news of their surprise interest in Chelsea’s Andrey Santos.
