Man Utd Lead 5 PL Clubs And PSG In Pursuit Of Highly Rated Newcastle Midfielder - It's Not Tonali Or Guimaraes

Newcastle United midfielder Lewis Miley is the subject of interest from rival Premier League clubs, as well as teams on the continent, according to reports.

TEAMtalk claim that Manchester United are among the teenager’s biggest admirers, while the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Brighton, Brentford, Nottingham Forest and even Paris Saint-Germain are monitoring his situation.

Miley is said to have been on PSG’s radar for quite some time. The European champions have built a reputation in recent years of signing exciting youngsters.

Man United, meanwhile, have reportedly sent scouts to watch the 19-year-old as far back as his senior debut in 2023.

Miley is one of several Newcastle stars who have been targeted

With Eddie Howe’s side now very unlikely to secure European football for next season, the sharks have begun to circle.

A number of clubs are keen on snapping up the likes of Sandro Tonali, captain Bruno Guimaraes, Anthony Gordon and Tino Livramento.

The BBC have confirmed that the Magpies will need to consider a sale of one of their top players in order to fund a squad revamp, and a lot may depend on what type of offers they receive this summer.

Miley is unlikely to be going anywhere

It should be pointed out that the teenager has a contract that expires in 2029, so Newcastle have protected themselves in terms of his valuation.

That is in stark contrast to someone like Livramento, whose current deal expires in 2028, with reports suggesting talks over an extension have stalled.

With Tonali and Gordon also having serious suitors, you would think that selling Miley would be very far down the list of options for raising funds. It’s likely that the midfielder will still be at St James’ Park at the start of next season.
