There aren’t many better managers in world football than Cesc Fabregas right now. It comes as little surprise that both Arsenal and Chelsea are monitoring their former midfielder.
Fabregas is largely new to the world of management. After an interim spell at Como in their promotion year, he became Como’s manager at the start of the 2024-25 season and has remained in charge since.
He kept Como up last season easily. But this season, Fabregas has earned worldwide recognition as his Como side defy all expectations and now look good to qualify for the Champions League next season.

Despite a 4-3 loss to Inter on Sunday, Como remain on course for a top-four finish. But, Como are in danger of losing their manager, with Chelsea and Arsenal both said to be keeping tabs on Fabregas.
Cesc Fabregas has no plans to leave Como this summer
Earlier this year, John Terry predicted Fabregas would manage either Arsenal or Chelsea. His two old clubs in the Premier League, while recently, Marco Materazzi suggested Fabregas may replace Liam Rosenior.

But what does Fabregas actually think about a move to one of his old clubs? Well, TeamTalk say Arsenal, Chelsea and even Man City are monitoring his situation in Serie A, Fabregas has no plans to leave Como.
Hardly a surprise. Fabregas is involved at board level with Como, and having started his journey with the side in Serie B, the joy of a Champions League night with his current side will be difficult to turn down.
Fabregas looks set to remain at Como this summer, and if Chelsea, City or Arsenal need a new manager, then they will have to look elsewhere than the Barcelona legend. His contract at Como ends in 2028.
Why Arsenal are more likely to need a new manager
Despite Rosenior overseeing eight defeats in his 21 games as manager, Chelsea are insisting that the new manager is not going anywhere. They want to give Rosenior a chance and at least a summer window.

Guardiola’s future is always in the balance. It is unclear if he will want to remain if City don’t win the Premier League. He might want to go out with a bang, but he may want to stay if City do win the league.
Only the Spaniard truly knows if he will be in charge at City next season. But according to reports in Spain, Arsenal could lose Arteta if they fail to win the Premier League or Champions League this season.
Arteta will walk if the Gunners fail to win either trophy. It means that of the three clubs eyeing Fabregas, Arsenal are most-likely to approach Como’s manager. Chelsea, though, need him most of the three.
