Leeds' impressive win over Manchester United on Monday night saw bragging rights change hands on the oche. Luke Littler is a massive United fan and the result was quickly rubbed in his face by rival Luke Humphries.

Noah Okafor scored twice in the first half at Old Trafford to give Leeds a 2-0 lead at half-time. The relegation-threatened side had won once away from home in the Premier League all season but had flown out of the traps against their rivals.

A red card for United defender Lisandro Martinez for pulling Dominic Calvert-Lewin's hair turned the tables even more in the away side's favour. And although Casemiro pulled a goal back with a header and Karl Darlow was forced into making a few good stops, Leeds held on to win.

Victory was Leeds' first in the league at Old Trafford since 1981 in 18 attempts and moved them six points clear of the relegation zone. It was a huge night for Daniel Farke and his players - and for Leeds fans, who now have rare ammunition to use against their United-supporting friends.

One of those revelling in the win was darts world No.2 Humphries, who quickly headed to X. "How we feeling lads?? Hahahahahahaha," he wrote to Littler and fellow United fan Angry Ginge.

He didn't get a bite from the duo, but a different United fan did reply. "You boys will be fine!! We needed it more and you will get champions league anyway," Humphries added.

Humphries is the defending champion in darts' version of the Premier League, but currently sits seventh in the table. Littler is second, three points behind leader Jonny Clayton ahead of night 11 in Rotterdam on Thursday.

But while his Premier League campaign isn't going to plan, Humphries will have been delighted by Leeds' recent results, with the win over United coming after Farke's side reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup, where they will play Chelsea, with a penalty shoot-out win over West Ham.

Leeds sit 15th in the Premier League table, six points above Tottenham in 18th, with six league games remaining. They host bottom side Wolves on Saturday and Farke has urged his players to keep the momentum up.

"We need the players to believe in what we've said and they are doing that," he said. "We still create we work a little bit on to get rid of this old narrative. And you know, Leeds are falling apart again, that we always crumble when it really counts. It feels like when it really matters.

"We deliver under pressure last season, not just this season. In the crunch time period and the key periods, nothing is achieved yet. So for that, I'm far away of not staying humble."
