Como boss Cesc Fabregas has “no plans” to leave Italy, despite interest from Chelsea and several other Premier League teams, according to reports.
TEAMtalk claim that the Blues have been “keeping a close eye” on his progress with Como, and they are “impressed” by what they have seen.
The London club are said to be monitoring several managers whose profiles would fit the team, but they have not decided to dispense with Liam Rosenior’s services at this stage.
As of now, the 41-year-old retains the backing of the club’s board despite 5 defeats in his last 6 matches.
Fabregas has 2 other Premier League clubs after him
It is believed that Manchester City do consider the Como head coach as a candidate to succeed Pep Guardiola in the dugout at the Etihad.

While Guardiola does have just over a year left on his contract with the Cityzens, there have been credible rumours that the Catalan could leave this summer, with Director of Football Hugo Viana putting potential contingency plans in place.
Arsenal are also reportedly fans of Fabregas. While they are currently negotiating a new deal with Mikel Arteta, they could turn to another former player if they decide to part ways with their current manager.
Could Chelsea win the race for Fabregas?
A lot depends on what happens at other clubs. Arsenal are more than likely to retain the services of Arteta, even if they do lose out on the Premier League title once again.
City may pose more of a danger if Guardiola quits, but several respected journalists, including Fabrizio Romano, think former Blues head coach Enzo Maresca would be the favourite to take on the post.
That does potentially leave the door open for Chelsea, and if performances under Rosenior continue to falter, Fabregas may yet become a legitimate contender for the job.
