Cesc Fabregas has been linked with a move back to the Premier League on numerous occasions in the past, having made such a good impression at Como.

Cesc Fabregas has provided an update on his future at Como. The former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder was briefly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge when Enzo Maresca stepped down, but the Blues appointed Liam Rosenior instead.
Fabregas initially joined the Italian outfit as a player on a free transfer during the summer of 2022. A year later, the Spaniard retired and began coaching the Como Under-19s, but he only took charge of nine games before becoming caretaker manager of the first team.
Fabregas quickly made a great impression, winning 10 points from a possible 15, so he remained with the senior squad as the new assistant head coach. Alongside Osian Roberts, Como went on to secure promotion to the Serie A.
Then, at the end of the season, Como promoted Fabregas. In his debut season as a first-team boss, the Premier League legend helped the Italian outfit finish in the top half of the table.

Fabregas has since taken the Italian outfit to the next level, putting them in the mix for qualification to the UEFA Champions League, as well as reaching the Coppa Italia semi-final. Despite having turned heads across Europe, the Spaniard has underlined his commitment to Como.
Upon being handed the Enzo Bearzot award by the Italian Football Federation on Monday, Fabregas said: "I am very committed to this project. You never know, but right now I think it’s very unlikely I’ll leave Como.
"Last year, I wanted to see how other clubs operated. I mentioned it to the president, but I decided to stay. I’m very happy with what we’ve been able to achieve."

As quoted by the Metro, Fabregas added: "This is an important project. I need to feel good here. It’s important that my family is happy, and if they’re happy in Como, I’ll stay."
On whether he could manage the Italian national team in the future, Fabregas said: "Maybe someday. Right now, I’m too much of a coach and I need to be on the pitch every day.
"Being the national team coach right now might be boring, too much free time. In the future, when I’m older, you never know."
