Inter Miami have made significant progress in their pursuit of signing Casemiro as a free agent in the summer.
Casemiro will leave Manchester United at the end of the summer when his contract expires.
There have been calls for Casemiro to stay longer, although it is understood that United are not planning a U-turn on their decision to part ways with the experienced Brazilian midfielder.
That means Casemiro is free to join another club in the summer, with negotiations underway ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

Casemiro reaches agreement with Inter Miami
At the age of 34, Casemiro is still an important part of the United first team.
United will be saying goodbye to a regular starter, but Casemiro’s departure will free up a massive salary space, giving the club more flexibility in the transfer market.
Casemiro has been linked with moves to Saudi Arabia and Major League Soccer, as well as a potential return to Brazil.

According to Brazilian outlet RTI Esporte, David Beckham’s MLS franchise Inter Miami has already reached an agreement with Casemiro.
It was previously reported that Inter Miami were sounding out Casemiro over a move to the United States.
The latest report claims that Casemiro is set to receive double his salary, plus bonuses and a share of the revenue, with a contract valid until December 2028.
That deal includes the possibility of an extension for another season. The value of the contract, in terms of earnings, exceeds £70 million per season.
An agreement was reportedly reached during Casemiro’s recent trip to the United States when he was representing the Brazil national team in friendlies against France and Croatia.
Casemiro met with Inter Miami executives ahead of a verbal agreement and formalities.
An announcement is not expected until after the World Cup.

Casemiro doesn’t know who will be Inter Miami manager next season
When Casemiro reached a verbal agreement with Inter Miami in recent weeks, Javier Mascherano was the manager after leading the team to their first-ever MLS title.
However, in the last 24 hours, the former Liverpool and Barcelona midfielder has stepped down as manager due to personal reasons.
Inter Miami’s sporting director, Guillermo Hoyos, will step into the role as an interim manager.
It remains to be seen who will replace Mascherano ahead of Casemiro’s expected arrival.
