Are Leeds United out of the relegation battle after United win?

**After a massive 2-1 win over bitter rivals Manchester United away from home on Monday night, are Leeds United safe?**

With six matches left of the Premier League season, it’s safe to assume Wolverhampton Wanderers and Burnley are down in 20th and 19th, respectively.

However, 18th place, the third and final relegation spot, could go to any one of four teams. Those teams are: West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur, Nottingham Forest, and Leeds United.

Tottenham Hotspur are currently the team in the danger zone with 30 points, West Ham in 32, Nottingham Forest on 33,  and Leeds United now on 36.

The Whites are six points from the drop zone, with Wolves at home in their next match and Burnley at home on matchday 35. This should be six more points, which would make them comfortably safe.

If they are already safe by the time they play against us on the final day of the season, that could benefit us because maybe they won’t need to win. However, it could have the same benefit for Spurs who face Leeds on matchday 37.

Leeds are certainly favourites to stay up now they’re on 36 points, they are now very likely to reach that holy 40 point mark if it even takes that many points to stay in the league.
