Arsenal vs Sporting CP LIVE: Champions League match stream, latest team news, lineups, TV, prediction

Home comforts: Arsenal have not lost at the Emirates Stadium in this season’s Champions League

A pivotal week for Arsenal begins tonight as they face Sporting CP in the Champions League quarter-final second leg. The Gunners may hold a 1-0 advantage thanks to a stoppage time winner from Kai Havertz in Lisbon eight days ago, but their form either side of the international break is a major cause for concern heading into the crunch period of the season.

Mikel Arteta's side have lost three of the last four games in all competitions - including a Carabao Cup final - with their lead at the top of the Premier League table being cut to six points after a disappointing home defeat to Bournemouth at the weekend.

Arsenal in Europe, though, are a different proposition having won 10 of their 11 games in the competition this season and just need to avoid defeat to progress to a second successive Champions League semi-final where Atletico Madrid, who squeezed past LaLiga rivals Barcelona last night, await later this month. Follow the game LIVE below with our dedicated match blog, featuring expert insight and analysis from Matt Verri at the Emirates Stadium.
