Alejandro Garnacho is facing fresh attention at Chelsea after his social media activity raised questions. The winger’s online behaviour has come at a time when his place in the team is already under pressure.
According to reports, Chelsea are monitoring Alejandro Garnacho after he took down club-related content from his TikTok. He also reposted clips linked to his former club Manchester United. This has put more focus on a player still trying to settle in London. He joined Chelsea in a £40 million move after leaving Manchester United, but his early months have been mixed so far.
The move from Manchester United was seen as a big step in his career in football. But his early spell under Liam Rosenior has been up and down. He has started only seven matches since the manager’s arrival in January. Most of his minutes have come from the bench in cup games or late in close games. The Premier League side are still waiting for a strong, game-winning display from him.
Chelsea’s coaching staff are watching not only his performances but also his focus in training. There is no official disciplinary action at this stage. Still, the situation has created some pressure around a player who is trying to find rhythm and confidence in a new team.

Alejandro Garnacho own words add more confusion
Garnacho recently opened up about his exit from Manchester United, admitting there were moments he may have handled things better. He spoke about the frustration of not getting enough game time at a young age and how difficult it felt being on the bench during key periods.
He said, “Maybe yes, because I loved that club. They gave me the confidence from the start.” He also added, “I was only 20-years old, but in my mind I had to play every game.” However, he also made it clear that he respects his former club and has moved forward. He insisted, “I am really proud to be here at Chelsea and still in thePremier League at a club like this.”
Still, his mixed message has created discussion among fans and pundits. Some believe his words show honesty from a young player adjusting to pressure, while others feel they reflect doubt about his current situation at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea stance and growing pressure on Rosenior’s system
Chelsea have shown in the past that they are willing to take internal action when needed. Earlier, Enzo Fernandez faced a short internal ban after comments about a possible move away and criticism around club decisions. That incident proved the club do not ignore issues involving player conduct or public messaging.
At the same time, not every case leads to punishment, as decisions are often based on context and meaning. For now, Garnacho has not been formally charged with any misconduct, but the environment is clearly under watch.

From a tactical view, Rosenior is still trying to find the best way to use him. Garnacho has mostly played in wide roles. Here, space is limited and defensive work is higher. This has reduced his attacking freedom. It has also made it harder for him to impact games in a steady way.
Chelsea’s system also demands discipline in pressing and positioning. This can take time for a young winger to learn. His pace and dribbling are still clear strengths. But his final decision making has not yet reached the level needed right now.
