Arsenal have faced a major problem in their attempt to sign Anthony Gordon. Bayern Munich is reportedly planning to launch a well structured bid. But there has been some contradicting reports regarding the English winger.
The situation of Arsenal and Bayern Munich for Anthony Gordon
Anthony Gordon is a 25-year-old left winger who plays for Newcastle United. He is also a Premier League proven player. So any club going for him, will try to improve their left flank.
Bayern Munich have the picture perfect frontline this season. They have already scored 101 goals and counting in this season in Bundesliga. Luiz Diaz plays as a left winger. The football player is having a brilliant first season in Germany. The Colombian has 23 goals and 15 assists in 41 games in all competitions so far, as per Sofascore. Besides Diaz, Jamal Musiala and Serge Gnabry have also played in that position several times. Everytime they have produced good performances. Therefore, Bayern Munich is quite sorted with their left wing spot.
Arsenal on the other hand, have the urgency to improve their left wing position. Gabriel Martinelli has found himself lower in Mikel Arteta’s pecking order. He has started exploring clubs as he will seek to leave the London club at the season end. Arteta has shown his trust more on Leandro Trossard this season. But performances has not come at that level from the Belgian. Additionally, next season he will enter the final year of his contract. Trossard has also crossed the age of 30 and Arsenal will look for someone young.

What does German reports say about Anthony Gordon move?
According to reports, journalist Florian Plettenburg has reported that, Bayern Munich are in a serious mood to bring Anthony Gordon. They have selected the Englishman as their preferred choice. He will be supposed to add depth in their squad . The left winger can also give competition to Luiz Diaz who owns the same spot as well.
Plettenburg has also said that the news of their interest has been communicated with the 25-year-old. Solid talks have been conducted with the player’s camp. But the clubs have not met yet regarding this matter. Adding to this, he has also claimed that Newcastle wants the winger to stay. Bayern are ready with their organized bid. What did Fabrizio Romano say about Gordon’s situation?
Fabrizio Romano’s reports are contradictory to the published German reports. The transfer news expert has stated on 13th April that Bayern are very interested in the winger. But at this moment they have not planned a bid for Gordon yet.
Newcastle are having a very dim chance to qualify for Europe for next season. According to Financial Fair Play regulations, they have to balance out their cost. For that, they need to sell some of their top players.
Romano also said that all the players will not leave the club. The English club will try to retain players as much as possible. Gordon has a very high chance to leave as strong clubs like Bayern Munich, Arsenal and many others are interested. Gordon may join the Gunners as he desires to play under Arteta. Bayern are also keeping their options open as they are monitoring players within their league such has Yan Diomande.
