Chelsea continue to be linked with a host of midfielders amid speculation that Enzo Fernandez could leave the club this summer.
Fernandez wants to play in the Champions League next season and has not ruled out an exit in the upcoming transfer window.
Whether the 25-year-old remains at Stamford Bridge or not, though, it looks like Chelsea want to sign a new midfielder.
Good player, but we’re taking Elliot Anderson and Adam Wharton over him 🤷♂️

Chelsea’s interest in Alex Scott doesn’t hinge on Enzo Fernandez’s future
One midfielder whom Chelsea are thought to have on their radar is Bournemouth’s Alex Scott.
Earlier this month, it was reported that Scott is on Chelsea’s shortlist ahead of the summer transfer window.
A report from The Independent has now claimed that the Blues’ pursuit of Scott is separate from Fernandez’s situation, meaning that there is a possibility that they end up signing the 22-year-old and keeping their current midfield maestro.

Bournemouth will not want to see Scott depart this summer, as the young Englishman has been a key player this season.
Scott recently scored the winning goal in Bournemouth’s 2-1 win against Arsenal, dealing the Gunners a major blow in the Premier League title race.
Alex Scott’s Premier League stats this season
Scott’s goal against Arsenal was his third in the Premier League this term. He has also provided one assist in the 32 top-flight games he has played.
Last season, the England Under-21 international failed to score or assist in English football’s top division, so he has shown remarkable progress in the current campaign.
Whether this young Chelsea side need another young player, though, is debatable to say the least.
This is a very inexperienced Chelsea squad who have really struggled this season, especially of late. They are currently on a run of three consecutive defeats in the Premier League.
Does Scott improve them? Already having Fernandez, Moises Caicedo, Andrey Santos, Romeo Lavia and Dario Essugo as midfield options, probably not. Chelsea need a more experienced midfielder than Scott, especially if Fernandez does leave west London this summer.
