Fabrizio Romano shares the‘clear message’he’s getting from Chelsea about Liam Rosenior

Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior is under pressure from supporters to deliver results, although the club have a clear stance on what his immediate future looks like.

Rosenior cut a frustrated figure in Chelsea’s last Premier League game against Manchester City, as they slipped further away from the Champions League places.

Blues fans told us they would rather see Cesc Fabregas as the manager of the club after his excellent start to life at Como.

Chelsea putting out ‘clear message’ that Liam Rosenior’s job is safe

The boss has had the backing of the owners recently after his decision to internally ban Enzo Fernandez following his comments about Real Madrid during the international break.

Romano told the Market Madness podcast that the clear message he is getting from the club is that they want to continue with him in charge next season.

He said: “And for Liam Rosenior, Chelsea, since they want to continue with him next season. So that’s the feeling and that’s the clear message at the club.

“Then obviously we have to see how’s going to be the end of the season. It can’t continue like this, of course. But in general, the feeling at Chelsea is that Rosenior is going to be involved next season and involved also in the summer plans for new signings.”

There will no doubt be a desire for the club to stop with the chopping and changing of managers. Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter, Frank Lampard, Mauricio Pochettino, Enzo Maresca and Rosenior have all been in charge under the new regime.

Chelsea prepared to change transfer policy for Liam Rosenior

Reports have already stated that Rosenior has been involved in conversations regarding the signings the club will make this summer as they look to strengthen their squad.

These have involved making a slight change to their transfer policy to allow the club to bring in more experienced players, something the club have been crying out for.

This will not completely put an end to the project of signing young, talented players though. The Blues are expected to confirm a deal for Valentin Barco from Strasbourg for this summer.

Many have been left questioning whether they have actually gotten stronger since sacking Maresca, however Chelsea fans may have no option but to get on board with the current boss for the foreseeable future.
