Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo is set to sign a new contract keeping him at Stamford Bridge until summer 2033, GIVEMESPORT sources understand. The 24-year-old has five years remaining on his current deal.
Caicedo joined Chelsea from Brighton in 2023 for a then British transfer record £115m, and has gone on to make 140 appearances for the club, fast becoming one of the best central midfielders in the world.
The Ecuador international has also captained Chelsea at times in the absence of Reece James this season, and is seen as an important part of the players' leadership team. That has seen talks accelerate over a new deal, which has now been sealed.
Caicedo Pens New Chelsea Contract

Chelsea have always viewed Caicedo as untouchable, and his fresh terms come at a crucial time for Chelsea as they bid to secure a Champions League spot. The Blues host Manchester United this weekend, as they look to gain ground in the race for a top-five spot.
Caicedo has now been rewarded for a string of consistent performances with his new wage, understood to be just shy of £200,000-per-week, reflects his standing within the squad as a top star.
Caicedo's extension will be viewed as an important endorsement of Chelsea's model at an unsettling time for the club, and on the same day as the Chelsea Supporters' Trust wrote an open letter to Chelsea's owners and directors calling for stability.
"Chelsea supporters have been asked to accept an unprecedented level of change in the name of a long-term vision that has never been clearly or consistently explained. Four years on, that vision has still not earned their trust," the letter reads.
"There is also widespread dissatisfaction with the quality of engagement between the club and its supporters. At the heart of supporter concern is a simple point: the current model has demanded a huge amount of faith from the fanbase, while giving too little clarity in return.
"Supporters have watched relentless upheaval. Players, managers, staff, and structures have changed at pace. This has been presented as part of a long-term plan. Yet four years on, there is still no sufficiently clear or convincing explanation of how that plan delivers sustained success while preserving a recognisable Chelsea identity... That gap between intention and reality is now too significant to ignore."
Chelsea Continue to Back Rosenior
Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior looks on during the loss to Everton
Chelsea continue to back Liam Rosenior, and believe that he can deliver Champions League football this season. Plans are already being put in place for the summer, with a centre-back, a central midfielder, and a creative attacker all being explored.
Adding another midfielder may lead some to assume Enzo Fernandez could be sold, especially after the Argentine flirted with a move to Real Madrid during the international break, leading to a club-imposed two-game ban. Yet Fernandez could also be in line for a new deal and, at the other extreme, were Chelsea to sell, they would not entertain a book loss.
Caicedo's extension follows club captain Reece James committing to a new deal. GMS understands Levi Colwill is also in line for an extension, even though nothing is yet advanced, and Estevao Willian could be handed improved terms after an impressive debut season with the Blues.
