After a number of weeks of Chelsea fans being worried about the status of their big-name players, Moises Caicedo looks set to put pen to paper on a new contract with the club.
Caicedo has enjoyed a very strong season again at Stamford Bridge, even if he hasn’t quite hit the same heights since Liam Rosenior took charge of the club.
At a time where there is no real optimism that Enzo Fernandez will sign a new deal after his very public comments regarding a potential move to Real Madrid, there will be great excitement that another key man is committing his future to the club.

Levi Colwill set to follow Moises Caicedo and sign new Chelsea contract
According to The Times though, there is more good news for Chelsea fans when it comes to the long-term status of Levi Colwill.
The report states that after Caicedo’s new deal is announced, it is expected that the Cobham graduate will also sign a new deal with the club.

Perhaps the best sign of just how important the England international is to the Blues is how poor they have been defensively in his absence this season.
Colwill suffered a serious knee injury before the campaign even got underway, leaving him without a senior appearance this season.

Rosenior has confirmed he is set to play some minutes for the Under 21s this weekend in an attempt to take a step up in his recovery.
Until his return though, and with the ongoing absence of Trevoh Chalobah, the opportunity could be there for some of the youngsters at the club to start to properly follow in Colwill’s footsteps.
Josh Acheampong and Mamadou Sarr are both in contention for a start when the Blues host Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
