The Chelsea Supporters' Trust have penned an open letter to the Blues hierarchy as they underlined their lack of confidence in the club's bosses and their vision - insisting they have "still not earned their trust."
The west Londoners sit sixth in the Premier League table and face the prospect of missing out on the Champions League. Those who attend Stamford Bridge have seen another managerial change with Liam Rosenior coming in to replace Enzo Maresca back in January. He was the fourth permanent boss hired by the BlueCo ownership, with the constant change not aiding the team's ambitions, nor has it been welcome by fans.
The letter stated that the supporters had "been asked to accept an unprecedented level of change in the name of a long-term vision that has never been clearly or consistently explained."
Chelsea previously handed out a five-year deal to Graham Potter, only to sack him after seven months. The Supporters' Trust claimed they gripes "reflects a deeper and more sustained concern about the direction of Chelsea Football Club, and the growing lack of confidence among supporters in the leadership, structure, and strategy that underpin it.
"Supporters have watched relentless upheaval. Players, managers, staff, and structures have changed at pace. This has been presented as part of a long-term plan. Yet four years on, there is still no sufficiently clear or convincing explanation of how that plan delivers sustained success while preserving a recognisable Chelsea identity. The vision remains unclear, its execution inconsistent, and its leadership insufficiently accountable."
They also stated: "Chelsea supporters are not simply asking to win every year. They are asking to recognise the club they have always supported. At the moment, too many do not. This erosion of trust is not limited to football matters alone. It extends to how supporters experience the club."
Todd Boehly is the face of the Chelsea ownership and he has copped plenty of heat from the Blues fanbase. The Supporters' Trust has called out the club for failing to respond properly to a long list of concerns raised by a survey of its members. They go beyond on-pitch performances and include ticketing issues and fan engagement.
Chelsea claimed the Europa Conference League and won the newly expanded Club World Cup in America, but any good feeling from those successes have disappeared.
