The past two games will both live long in the memory of Leeds United supporters and players given their historic significance.

A first FA Cup semi-final in 39 years has been reached and Monday night’s league win at Old Trafford was 45 years in the making. It is understandable that the fans and squad will be on cloud nine.

But while match-goers can be allowed to revel in these two wins, the players must reset and not allow confidence to cross over into unintentional complacency this weekend. Daniel Farke was quick to send this message after Monday’s victory.

“Nothing is achieved yet,” he underlined, while recognising the significance of the win. “So for that, I'm far away of not staying humble and being overconfident and celebrate ourselves already.

"Because, on Premier League level, the momentum can change pretty, pretty quickly, we have to stay on it. We can celebrate us in the summer break if we keep going like this, but not before."

Leeds United have is offering this season's home, away and third adult jerseys for £25 ahead of their trip to Wembley FA Cup semi-final.

It is important to remember that Monday was the first time Leeds had scored in a Premier League game in five fixtures and since the first week of February.

The double against West Ham will have undoubtedly spurred them on ahead of the trip to Manchester United, but even that game ended in a draw.

To end their near-eight-week streak without a league win was already a delight but to record their first league road-trip victory since September, against the old enemy, made the triumph sweeter.

The next step is to now replicate that at home against bottom club Wolverhampton Wanderers. They come into the fixture on the back of a 4-0 defeat to West Ham last week but had only lost one of six league matches before then.

This is not the side Leeds beat at Molineux back in September. At the same time, there will be expectation on Leeds to get three points, which is why Farke predicts the match to be anything but straight-forward.

“[I] know that on Saturday, we have probably one of our most difficult games during the whole season, because the expectations are high in the home game right now to win,” he continued.

“I predict it will be a very, very difficult game. And for that, my focus is already to make sure that we also deliver points in the next game.”

And, as the manager had already mentioned, the survival job is not done yet. Monday was a giant step forward but not a conclusive one. Aside from the rivalry aspect, the win at Old Trafford might be dampened should Leeds fail to beat Wolves.

Few would have snuffed at three or four points from these two games before they were played but to only get that amount now would feel a touch deflating, even if it does still help Leeds’ survival cause.

Next weekend’s semi-final trip to Wembley is preceded by a long midweek visit to Bournemouth, who have just beaten title favourites Arsenal at their own ground and face a downtrodden Newcastle United outfit this Saturday.

To get anything on the south coast might also be deemed a bonus. It therefore does ramp up the pressure on Leeds’ remaining home games which also includes second-bottom Burnley and Brighton & Hove Albion.

As seen with the Sunderland defeat, Leeds cannot afford to have an off-day. On Monday, they showed that they have learned the lesson of not conceding late but now they must show the next level of maturity - keeping a level head when everyone else’s are in the clouds.
