Wolves are playing for pride and to set up a vital summer as they travel to face Leeds tomorrow.
Relegation is seemingly inevitable and could be confirmed this weekend if Wolves lose at Elland Road and results go against them, meaning Wolves’ focus on their journey to Yorkshire should be clear.
Following the embarrassing 4-0 defeat at West Ham last time out, Wolves firstly must put a performance together worthy of a result and give the travelling supporters bang for their buck.
With that should come a positive reaction from the fans and a platform Wolves can continue to build from in the five remaining games after Leeds.
Setting up the summer with performances and results now must be the overall aim, with relegation set to be a formality.
For Rob Edwards, he needs to see a reaction from his players.
“I think they’re a very good team and Daniel (Farke) has done an amazing job,” the head coach said of tomorrow’s opposition.
“They’re a really vibrant team, loads of energy, aggressive in their pressing and can go man to man at times.
“They want to take the ball and build and they have lots of dynamic players who are quick in the attack.
“I’ve really enjoyed watching them this season and how they’ve mixed it well.
“They were great last year in the Championship and I think they’ve been really impressive.
“We’re going to have to go there and be at our best. Elland Road is a great place to go play football, they can make it quite intimidating, it’s loud, vociferous, the crowd will be right at it early on.
“The pressure will be on them to roll us over, so it’s about dealing with that early momentum and then making sure we can try implement our game on them as well.
“It will be a really challenging game but one we’re really looking forward to.
“We want to respond after last week’s result, which was a strange game because we did start very well, quietened the crowd and then didn’t see the game through. That hasn’t been like us for quite a long time.
“We want to make sure we show a positive response.”

Wolves will have to take on Leeds and Spurs without Yerson Mosquera after he picked up his 10th booking last week and earned a two-match ban.
Edwards has two realistic ways to replace him. The first could see Matt Doherty come back in, despite him missing the West Ham game with a niggle, as more of a natural replacement on the right of the back three.
The other option is to move Santi Bueno to the right and move Ladislav Krejci to the middle, and bring Toti Gomes in on the left.
Edwards will have to decide between choosing a more athletic option in Toti or the more experienced Doherty and whether selecting the former is worth disrupting S.Bueno and Krejci’s position.
He may also have a decision in midfield, after choosing Angel Gomes over Mateus Mane against the Hammers.
A.Gomes was unable to impose his technical ability on the game and a fresh Mane, with a point to prove and far superior attacking quality, may be the answer if Wolves want to offer any threat going forward against a Leeds side buoyed by their win over Manchester United.
