Arne Slot has confirmed Kostas Tsimikas will be part of the Liverpool squad when he returns from a loan spell at Roma at the end of the season. The Premier League champions sanctioned his exit late into last summer's transfer window, having put pen to paper on a deal to sign Milos Kerkez.
But with Andy Robertson having announced his exit, a spot in the Liverpool has opened up, with Tsimikas expected to resume his position as back-up left-back when he returns from Roma. Speaking ahead of the weekend's clash with Everton, the Dutchman said: "Last year we made quite a lot of signings and that's why we traded that much. In four windows had net spend of £150m. That says what kind of club we are.We know we are changing at least two players, but Kostas is coming back."
It would at least solve one problem in the transfer window for Liverpool, but Slot has admitted Liverpool still have some question marks hanging over their squad heading into the summer transfer window. He explained: "First aim is to see how we react in position of Mo [Salah] whether we want to replace with similar player or do that differently.
"At this moment of time there's not a chance of a lot of players leaving. Of course, there's Konate's contract situation. There might not be a need to train a lot if you don't need to bring a lot of players in."
