West Ham suddenly have a golden opportunity to sign Axel Disasi on a permanent deal this summer.
Disasi has been a revelation for the Hammers since he joined on loan from Chelsea in the January transfer window.
The centre-back arrived with a tainted reputation, but he has exceeded expectations by some distance.
West Ham are determined to keep him beyond this season, which might be more realistic after the latest transfer report.

West Ham should pursue Axel Disasi swap deal with Chelsea
Disasi’s impressive form for the Hammers has rebuilt his reputation as a quality Premier League defender.
While this has been good news for West Ham, it will make their summer transfer plans more challenging.
Disasi is reportedly also wanted by several domestic rivals, meaning the Hammers could face a bidding war.

Chelsea paid £39m to sign the Frenchman in 2023, and the Blues are thought to want a similar fee to sell him.
This could be difficult for West Ham to afford, but they have a card up their sleeve in the form of a swap deal.
The Blues are interested in signing Jarrod Bowen, Crysencio Summerville and Mateus Fernandes this summer.
And while the Hammers would be reluctant to let go of any of them, a swap deal would certainly soften the blow.
For example, receiving £25 million and Disasi in exchange for Fernandes could be the best offer on the table.
They say never fall in love with a loan player, but we’ve all done it before 😂

The initial report had suggested that Chelsea would only be interested in the Hammers trio if they were relegated.
That is because Blues are looking for opportunities to sign Premier League-proven players at a lower cost this summer.
However, including Disasi in a deal would also significantly lessen the transfer fee required to sign one of West Ham’s top players.
Therefore, a swap deal could be in both clubs’ best interests and allow Disasi to continue his stay in East London.
