That’s the view of Sky Sports pundit Alan Smith, who believes that – at 24 – Broja still has plenty to give.
But with relegation almost a certainty, Smith is of the opinion the Albanian international could thrive a level down in the Championship.

“I’ve been looking at him for quite a long time now, back to the Chelsea days,” he said. "But when he was at Southampton, I thought: ‘oh, you could become a player’.
"He kind of reminds me a little bit of [Aleksandar] Mitrovic, who did so well at Fulham. But obviously Broja hasn’t scored the goals.

"He’s capable and certainly, if they do drop down, in the Championship you’d feel that he’d be an asset for them.
"He’s only 24, so I’d stick with him for next season.”
