John Terry believes Chelsea made a significant error in the transfer market by deciding against signing Michael Olise during his rise to world-class status.
The Blues were strongly linked with signing Michael Olise back in 2023, even reportedly triggering his release clause when he was at Crystal Palace.
A messy situation unfolded, and he eventually remained at Chelsea’s London rivals as they brought in the likes of Cole Palmer instead to bolster their squad for Mauricio Pochettino at the time.
Chelsea are reportedly set to tweak their transfer strategy and sign more experienced players!

John Terry labels former Chelsea target Michael Olise as ‘world-class’
While Palmer has been excellent since his move to Stamford Bridge, the quality of Olise is hard to ignore after an excellent showing recently in the Champions League against Real Madrid.
Terry was asked on his TikTok page to rank players as world-class or not, and after putting Palmer in the former category, he did the same for Olise.

The Frenchman has a combined 47 goals and assists for Bayern this season, working in tandem with striker Harry Kane.
The duo’s starring performances are part of the reason why Nicolas Jackson has struggled for minutes this season.
His future is currently up in the air, although a number of Chelsea fans who would love to welcome him back into the first team fold.

Why Olise didn’t sign for Chelsea
2023 was not the only time when Chelsea made a real effort to bring Olise to the club. They pushed hard to sign him before he eventually made his way to Bayern.
However, Olise was not a fan of the wage structure in place at Stamford Bridge, something which has likely held them back from making a number of big-name additions.
Reported interest in the past in the likes of Victor Osimhen has not ended up with an addition to the first team squad, with supporters crying out for experience and top-level players.
Behdad Eghbali himself has confirmed Chelsea are planning to add experience to their squad in the upcoming transfer window, however have missed the boat on bringing Olise in.
