It will be Nottingham Forest's third game at their City Ground home this week, and the meeting with Burnley is significant.
**Vitor Pereira's**side are currently three points above the relegation zone, and a 1-1 draw with Aston Villa in their last Premier League game was widely received as a positive point.
Forest are also unbeaten in their last four league games. In that time, they have one win and three draws.
The win came away at fellow strugglers Tottenham Hotspur. There will be hope that Forest can claim another important win against the Clarets.
When the sides met in September, with the Reds managed by Ange Postecoglou , it ended in a 1-1 draw at Turf Moor. The feeling this time around would be that a draw would not be enough for Forest, and it would be a missed opportunity.
Much has changed for the fortunes of both sides since that day.
Scott Parker's side are almost certain to go down and have lost four out of their last five league games. Last time out, they lost 2-0 at home to Brighton.
Meanwhile, Forest come into this game after a 1-0 win against **FC Porto**in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday.
Whilst they will have had less rest than their opponents, there will be a hope that progression in Europe gives them confidence and momentum.
Pereira made changes to his starting eleven for Thursday's game. He will, however, be assessing the fitness of Murillo, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Chris Wood, who all picked up injuries in that game.
Different expectations
The challenge in this game for Forest may be the pressure and expectations that will be placed upon them.
Unlike in recent games, Forest will come into this game as the side that most people will expect to win.
That can bring added pressure.
Burnley have only won four games all season, one more than bottom side Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Wolves have also only lost one more game than **Burnley,**so the team from the north-west do not arrive in the East Midlands in good form.
If Forest play to their potential, then they will likely know that they are more than capable of securing the three points.
However, if they are not at their best, the away side could still cause an upset. Earlier in the year, they did pick up points atLiverpool andChelsea, and at home toManchester United andTottenham Hotspur.
Therefore, Vitor Pereira will ensure that his side do not underestimate their opponents and let any complacency creep in.
The shifting dynamics at the bottom
Spurs play before Forest as they kick off against Brighton on Saturday evening. If they were to win, then it would put the Londoners level on points with Forest.
Leeds United also host Wolves on Saturday afternoon, so, like with the Forest game, it will be one where most will expect Daniel Farke's side to gain the win. Should Leeds win, they would then be nine points clear of the bottom three before Spurs begin their game.
West Ham do not play until Monday night, so a positive result for Forest could add pressure to their rivals there.
However, the truth is that Forest can only think about their own games. They have to get the job done against Burnley.
Time to deliver
Under previous manager Sean Dyche, draws with bottom side Wolves, a struggling Crystal Palace side and a defeat at Leeds proved to be costly and contributed towards him losing his job.
Pereira has gained impressive points away at Manchester City and last week's point from high-flying Villa, but this weekend a win will be the expected outcome.
They did not disappoint in their last 'must not lose' fixture against Spurs as they beat their rivals 3-0. A similar outcome would delight fans once again.
A positive performance and some goalscoring action would also be an uplift and goals have been something that has been missing from the City Ground lately.
That said, a win, however it comes, would still be greeted with celebration, as it would bring the vital three points.
Forest have not won a home league game since December, and they have had a lot of draws in that time.
There is still a lot to play for with a whole month of games left. Therefore, the gameagainst Burnley will not solely define their season, and it is sometimesunfair to label games as 'must-win'.
However, for the sake of the mood and confidence in their survival bid, it could be stated that this is a 'must-win' game.
If they were to lose, then there could be a knock-on effect and a setback ahead of their upcoming matches.
There are no easy games in the Premier League, and this will inevitably provide a different type of test than that of FC Portoin the week.
It will be about showing the character, being able to go again so soon after that win and finding a way to pick up the points.
Progression in Europe brings two more games at least to their season, and balancing the fixtures remains a challenge, but Forest want to be competing on multiple fronts.
Crucially, they want to be in the top flight next season, and another win would go some way to helping that aim.
