'Committed': Nuno shares how Mavropanos is really feeling amid West Ham exit claims

Nuno Espirito Santo insists that Konstantinos Mavropanos’ full focus is on West Ham United and securing Premier League survival amid reports linking the defender with Borussia Dortmund.

On Friday afternoon, just before the Hammers boss sat down in front of the media to preview the upcoming trip to Crystal Palace, speculation out of Germany claimed that Mavropanos is ‘set to leave’ the London Stadium at the end of the current campaign.

While West Ham are expected to offer the Greek international a new deal, Sky Sports’ Florian Plettenberg believes Konstantinos Mavropanos has other ideas.

Dinos Mavropanos ‘committed’ to West Ham United

Nuno Espirito Santo, however, insists that all that matters right now – for both West Ham United and their free-scoring centre-back – is Monday’s visit to Selhurst Park.

“In the summer [we will see what happens]. But now, we don’t think about anything else other than our tasks in the game,” Nuno said. “Dinos is focused and committed, for sure.”

Writing on his official X account, Plettenberg reported that Borussia Dortmund are interested in taking the former Stuttgart giant back to the Bundesliga. There are allegedly other Premier League clubs also sniffing around.

Mavropanos has a contract until the summer of 2028. However, the chance to play Champions League football with Niko Kovac’s Bundesliga runners-up in-waiting will understandably hold some appeal for a soon-to-be 29-year-old footballer.
