Arsenal are reportedly preparing a move for Leicester City youngster Jeremy Monga next summer. As reported by The Sun, the Gunners are keen on the winger, who is the third-youngest player in Premier League history.
Mikel Arteta's side are believed to be interested in building their sqaud for the long term. They are heavily interested in young players, particularly home-grown talents and Monga fits their plans.
Aged only 16, the Leicester City winger is regarded as one of the best prospects in world football. He has already made 35 senior appearances for the Foxes and has earned ten caps for England under-19 side.
Monga made seven Premier League appearances for Leicester City last season and has made 28 appearances this season across competitions. He made his Premier League debut aged 15 years and eight months becoming the third youngster player in the competition's history behind Ethan Nwaneri and Max Dowman.
Liverpool, Newcastle, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are also believed to be keen on the teenage prodigy. Therefore, it will be quite tricky for Arsenal to secure the youngster's signature.
Arsenal have strengthened their youth ranks heavily of late having recently signed 18-year-old duo Jaden Dixon from Stoke City and Evan Mooney from St Mirren. The Gunners have also agreed deals to sign Ecuadorian twins Edwin and Holger Quintero next year as well as Irish midfielder Victor Ozhianvuna.
