According to CaughtOffside, Arsenal are prepared to cash in on both Jesus and Havertz in order to make way for Álvarez.

It is understood the Gunners have stepped up their interest in the Atlético striker, who has been identified as one of Arsenal’s main transfer targets ahead of the summer.

However, prising Álvarez away from the La Liga giants will be a major challenge. Atlético Madrid have previously stated they have no intention of letting their star man leave.

Diego Simeone’s side reportedly value Álvarez at around €120m.

His current Atlético contract runs until the summer of 2030.
