What did Martin Zubimendi explain about?

Martin Zubimendi brought the topic of his recent fall in his performances in his interview. As per reports, he explained that his injury is the reason behind him being out of form in the recent games. But few days back, he had studied his levels of his performances.

His last match was against Sporting CP in quarter final of Champions League. In that game, he delivered a top quality performance. Eventually, he won the man of the match award. Some of the Arsenal fans were not happy to watch him on the field. The 27-year-old shut the mouths of the people who suggested Arteta to not let him play against Sporting.

Martin has claimed that he has been suffering from an injury lately. The midfielder also told that having games every three days is very hectic. Players don’t get the time to recover from injuries. This has became a tough scenario for him and his club. He was also questioned about his transfer rumours to Real Madrid. To that he replied that having being linked with a club like Real Madrid is not bad. But he is now completely focused on next Arsenal’s match against Manchester City.

Arsenal legends Ian Wright and Thierry Henry are concerned

Ex-Arsenal strikers Ian Wright and Thierry Henry have accepted that the Gunners are required to improve their game to win against Manchester City. The two legends could not believe the poor football performances Arsenal displayed in the later part of the season. They are forced to accept the fact that if they lose to City on Sunday, their hands on the English Premier League title will loosen.

Ian Wright in particular said that he feels pain while watching his former club play. The pain is killing him from inside which he cannot feel at this moment. Wright had put his whole trust on Mikel Arteta and his players which has been breaking. The club legend is not accepting the mistakes of the players on the pitch and has said them to beat all the teams while sitting at the top. He has questioned the club that why he always has to ask people to keep faith. Fans are unable to overcome their tension.

Thierry Henry talked about his club at CBS sports. He asked Mikel Arteta to portray the “fire” in the games which he told in his interview. Henry urged the players to play with all their energy and passion. The ex-French striker wants to see a confident win at Etihad on Sunday. He is happy about their semi final qualification in UCL but wants the Premier League title in the red side of London.

What is the current situation at Arsenal?

Mikel Arteta’s team has secured their place in the UCL semi-finals for two consecutive years. They won by a margin of 1-0 in the first leg against Sporting. In the second leg, they tied 0-0 at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners didn’t produce a strong confident win. It will not motivate them for Sunday’s potential league title-deciding match against Manchester City. Pep Guardiola’s team had beaten Arsenal 2-0 in Carabao Cup final, last month. If City wins in Sunday the gap will be of just three points with a game in hand. Arsenal’s chances of winning the title will be under threat.
