Arsenal has won the clash against Sporting in the UEFA Champions League. However, the game has been labelled as boring for the audience by Sporting player Morten Hjulmand.

Hjulmand labels Arsenal clash as boring

As per reports, Sporting midfielder Morten Hjulmand has labelled the match against Arsenal as boring from outside. This comes after the Gunners and Sporting played a 0-0 tie at the Emirates stadium in the UEFA Champions League. However, Arsenal went on to the semi finals because of Kai Havertz’s goal in the first leg of the clash. After the match while talking to the reporters Hjulmand spoke out his feelings.

In this case, Morten Hjulmand said, “A little bit boring if I was a viewer from outside… it’s not the way Sporting wants to show itself, we want to score goals.” Thus, indicating the experience that the viewers might have felt. Also, telling us how the Sporting players felt about the game. Sporting wanted to play a fluid style of football in this game. However, as per Hjulmand, Arteta’s team went on to make this game a defensive clash.

Meanwhile, he also pointed out the importance and impact of the first leg on this tie. Arsenal, having secured a lead in the first leg thanks to Havertz’s strike had an advantage. Thus, not giving Sporting any chance to come back into the game.
