Cole Palmer has revealed he has ‘no plans’ to leave Chelsea for a return to his hometown of Manchester, saying he is looking forward to next season and seeing who the Blues recruit this summer.
The attacking midfielder was linked with a sensational move to Premier League rivals Manchester United earlier this season, amid a turbulent year at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are at risk of missing out on Champions League football, sitting sixth in the Premier League with six games to go, having won just once in their last seven games.
Manager Liam Rosenior has been under intense scrutiny as a result, with Chelsea taking 17 points from a possible 33 in the league since his appointment in January.

Palmer, in an interview with The Guardian, said rumours over a potential Chelsea exit make him ‘just laugh’, insisting he has no plans to leave Stamford Bridge.
“When I see it I just laugh. Obviously Manchester is my home. All my family are there, but I don’t miss it. Maybe I’ll miss it if I don’t go for three months or something. But then when I get home I think there’s nothing there for me anyway.”
Palmer also touched on the steps Chelsea need to take following their difficult season, including recruiting well in the upcoming summer transfer window.
“I’ve got no plans to move from Chelsea. We’ve still got a lot to play for. We’ve got the FA Cup semi-final [against Leeds] and if we finish in a Champions League spot it puts us in a good position to sign players that we need.
“We spoke to the owners and they’re sure of the players that are gonna do it. Reece won’t sign a six-year contract if he’s not spoken to the owners and the directors.
“Me and Reece spoke a lot. About things we need, players we need to sign and how things need to be. He wouldn’t sign a new contract if he didn’t know what was going on.”
Cole Palmer’s Season at Chelsea

Cole Palmer’s season at Chelsea has been hampered by several injury issues, limiting him to just 19 Premier League starts and two appearances off the bench.
The 23-year-old midfielder has struggled for consistency in recent weeks, managing just one goal contribution in his last six league appearances under Rosenior.
Palmer has registered nine goals and one assist in 21 top-flight games this term, well short of last season’s output, when he scored 15 times and provided nine assists.
After losing their last three league games, Chelsea next take on Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
