Iraola has confirmed that he will not renew his deal on the south coast with six games left of the campaign.
Asked if there was any risk over whether that announcement could result in a drop in performances, Iraola said: “There is always a risk.

“Also, if they know that I'm going to renew another three years, there will be players also switching off.
“Whatever is the decision, whatever is what is going to happen, there will be players that are very happy and players that are very sad.
“When I gave the news to the players, some of them will think, "Oh, it's good because I was not playing, so maybe with the next one I will play more."
“Others will say, "Definitely I'm not playing as much as I'm playing with Andoni." So it's natural and it's normal in football, but it's the same as if you continue or someone new comes.
“Players have to adapt and they are more than used to this.”
