Cole Palmer gives honest thoughts on Liam Rosenior ahead of Chelsea vs Man United

Liam Rosenior is facing criticism from all corners of the Chelsea fanbase for the club’s poor form, although Cole Palmer has been full of praise and sympathy for the boss and his situation.

Chelsea have slipped out of the Champions League places since Liam Rosenior’s hiring, and are under pressure ahead of their Premier League clash with Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.

The boss will be delighted that he has a fully fit Cole Palmer back available to him after he has endured a nightmare campaign when it comes to injury woes.

Cole Palmer is a fan of Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior

Chelsea’s star man not firing has been a key reason behind the struggles at Stamford Bridge this season, however he has made it clear he is a supporter of Rosenior.

He told The Guardian that he was sympathetic for the situation he has taken over in West London, and believes a proper pre-season under his belt will help turn things around.

He said: “Bringing a manager in mid-season, you have no pre-season, hardly have time to train. You’re just focusing on games. But the manager is good and when he has a proper pre-season and gets his ideas across properly and the way he wants to play he’s a top coach.

“If we as players perform to how we should be performing and we get the right players we can, him and us as a group, do some work.”

Rosenior has reportedly developed a plan to get the best out of Palmer, with his numbers far lower this season than we all know he is capable of.

Palmer ready to build on strong record vs Man United

Despite being a boyhood United fan, Palmer has an excellent record against United in previous matches.

He has four goals in five outings against the Red Devils, including a memorable hat-trick in a 4-3 win at Stamford Bridge.

The goals have dried up for the Blues in recent weeks, however will be facing a far weaker United defence than normal.

Four of their centre-backs are currently injured or suspended, leaving Ayden Heaven as the only recognised first team option available.
