'In my opinion': Cole Palmer tells Chelsea what honestly needs to happen

Cole Palmer has called for a strategic shift in Chelsea’s recruitment, suggesting that the key to curing the club’s persistent inconsistency lies with incomings.

Cole Palmer has remained one of Chelsea’s standouts in an otherwise turbulent campaign, despite not being at his best.

Chelsea have recorded ten red cards across all competitions this season, with nine different players, including key figures like Moises Caicedo and Marc Cucurella, receiving their marching orders.

This instability has contributed to a disappointing sixth-place standing in the Premier League, currently leaving them seven points adrift of the final Champions League spot.

Everything has been further exacerbated by recurring injury issues, with Levi Colwill and captain Reece James suffering significant injuries.

Who are we choosing? Liam Rosenior? Or one of these TWO 👀

Cole Palmer wants signings in the summer

Cole Palmer has been speaking about what needs to change for Chelsea to come good, and it seems as if it will come in the form of transfers (The Guardian).

“It has been an inconsistent season for whatever reason. It’s just about, in my opinion, getting the right players in to help us kick on.”

One thing that could prove crucial this summer is Enzo Fernandez’s future, with the midfielder no longer untouchable at Stamford Bridge.

And the midfield addition that Chelsea have in mind is Bournemouth’s Alex Scott.

Cole Palmer opens up on his Chelsea issues

Cole Palmer has struggled of late, both for club and country. However, most of it has been down to his use, often operating on the right-hand side rather than in a number 10 role.

“I’m all right now, but it’s just about finding rhythm and performing again. I performed when I first got here. Last season, I scored 14 Premier League goals in 20 games.

“Then the Club World Cup. It’s not just going to disappear. I’ve not lost all my ability. I’ve been injured.”
