Intermediaries representing Germany head coach Julian Nagelsmann have “approached” Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City, according to reports.

TEAMtalk claims that the 38-year-old is eyeing a move to the Premier League after the World Cup, and the majority of the ‘Big Six’ have been notified about his availability.

Manchester United were already keen on Nagelsmann, although they have yet to decide whether to appoint him, Michael Carrick or another candidate.

With that in mind, the German (who won the Bundesliga title with Bayern Munich), seems to be reaching out to other teams via third parties.

Liverpool have not responded to the approach

It is believed that the Reds, Arsenal and Chelsea have not given any indication that they are interested in Nagelsmann.

Despite intermediaries reportedly getting in touch, it seems as if they are happy with the current managers at this moment in time.

The situation is said to be slightly different with City. Pep Guardiola’s future beyond the end of the season is uncertain, and Nagelsmann may well come under consideration as a potential option to replace the Catalan this summer.

Will Liverpool sack Slot?

The defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League has increased the pressure on the Reds’ current head coach, Arne Slot. This season will end trophyless, and the Merseysiders still have to ensure they secure Champions League football for next season.

However, even if the Reds do fail to finish in the top 5, it seems Slot could end up keeping his job. Trusted journalist David Ornstein says the club’s stance on keeping the Dutchman will not change, no matter the results in the remaining fixtures.

Whether the situation will change if performances continue to be poor, we shall have to wait and see, but it appears that Nagelsmann won’t be in charge at Anfield next campaign, as things stand.
