Eddie Howe hosts his former club AFC Bournemouth as Newcastle United look to get back to winning ways in the Premier League.
The Magpies have suffered back-to-back 2-1 defeats to Sunderland and Crystal Palace, despite taking the lead in both.
Heading into the match, United sit 14th in the Premier League table having dropped a staggering 25 points from winning positions.
Howe’s side are still just five points below the top seven but anything less than three points this afternoon would surely put an end to their slim European qualification hopes.
Bournemouth arrive on Tyneside unbeaten in their last 12 league matches, ending a run of five straight draws with 2-1 victory away to leaders Arsenal last Saturday.
