Newcastle United were dealt a fresh injury blow as Tino Livramento hobbled off against Bournemouth.
Shortly after Will Osula’s equaliser, the 22-year-old went down unchallenged while trying to shield the ball from a Bournemouth player. His Toon teammates immediately signalled to the bench to make a substitution.
Livramento hobbled off the St James’ Park turf while clutching his groin, with Dan Burn entering the field. This is the latest setback to the right-back, who has struggled for fitness all season.
He missed two months at the start of the campaign due to a knee injury. Upon returning, Livramento lasted just 10 days before suffering a hamstring strain in the FA Cup - ironically against Bournemouth.
At the time of writing, the severity of Livramento’s injury is unclear. The Gazette are expected to speak to Eddie Howe following the clash with the Cherries.
As well as Newcastle, any lengthy spell on the sidelines would also deal a bitter blow to England. Livramento has earned five Three Lions caps since making his debut in 2024 and - provided he is fit - looks a shoo-in for Thomas Tuchel’s squad.
