Opinion: This is the West Ham XI that Nuno should name against Crystal Palace

Nuno Espirito Santo has options in his squad ahead of West Ham’s huge game against Crystal Palace – although he would be wise to stick with a winning formula.

No matter what happens with their relegation rivals before Monday night, West Ham’s trip to Crystal Palace is absolutely massive.

Where will West Ham finish this season? 📈 And who will be relegated? ⬇️

Mind the gap, Tottenham Hotspur 😂

A victory at Selhurst Park would put West Ham in a brilliant position to stay up this season, while a defeat would be a major setback.

With that in mind, it would surely be foolish to tamper with the team who thrashed Wolves last week.

Nuno should name unchanged West Ham vs Crystal Palace

Nuno confirmed during Friday’s pre-match press conference that West Ham had a clean bill of health heading into the game.

That is a major boost, given the scale of the injury concerns prior to the Wolves game.

Still, even despite the luxury of an almost fully fit squad, naming the same team who beat Wolves would surely be the best choice right now.

Indeed, Taty and Pablo Felipe impressed for West Ham against Wolves, and neither did enough to warrant being dropped.

The same goes for the rest of the team, frankly. Aaron Wan-Bissaka has generally been a starter, but Kyle Walker-Peters played so well last Friday that he should keep his place here.

The rest of the team surely picks itself. Jean-Clair Todibo is a fine option in reserve, but breaking up the defensive partnership that Axel Disasi and Konstantinos Mavropanos have formed would be a major gamble.

Palace will provide a much sterner test than Wolves, there is little doubt about that.

However, this team ended up getting the job done in convincing fashion last time out and certainly deserve the chance to go again.

It is difficult to think of a better team Nuno could name right now.
