Wolves fans slam Leeds performance as relegation edges closer

Wolves were well beaten against Leeds as their relegation from the Premier League edges ever closer.

Wolves’ latest heavy defeat saw them move further to the brink of relegation from the Premier League.

It has long been accepted that Rob Edwards’ side are heading out of the top flight and back to the Championship.

They had given fans some hope of a late revival - however damaging back to back defeats have left them on the verge of the drop.

A 4-0 drubbing at the hands of West Ham has been followed by a 3-0 loss against Leeds.

It was a dismal performance at Elland Road, and Wolves fans have been left less than impressed.

One fan posted on X, insisting the players have given up. They said: “Be interesting to see how Edwards spins that performance, know he doesn't want to throw the players under the bus but surely its time to start calling out their efforts and ability. They've given up.”

Another said: “What a mess. Under his stewardship, how are we an attractive package for new players or for the players to suddenly believe in him and his ideas as a manager?

One also added: “This is the Wolves that had been masquerading as a half decent side for the big break.”

One has called for all the players to go in the summer, stating: “There's not a single player I'd be disappointed to see the back of for next season. Hopeless. Clueless. Spineless.”

Another believes the writing was on the wall as far back as last summer, adding: “ And down we go… our core issue - recruitment. This was the season to strengthen, not weaken. Not replacing cunha or ait nori. Gambles on untested players. Losing Semedo. Plan fell apart after that. He saw the writing on the wall.”

And another said the performance was an ‘embarrassment’. They said: “We aren’t bothered anymore. Sometimes it’s about personal pride and all of these lot should be embarrassed to be involved.”
