Borussia Dortmund are interested in signing West Ham United defender Konstantinos Mavropanos this summer, Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg has revealed.
The Bundesliga side have reportedly held internal talks regarding a move for the Greek international, who looks set to call time on his spell at the London Stadium.
Mavropanos is reportedly looking to leave the club this summer as he seeks a new challenge, following standout performances under Nuno Espirito Santo in recent weeks.
The 28-year-old’s recent form is believed to have attracted interest from both Bundesliga and Premier League clubs.

According to Plettenberg, Dortmund have discussed a move for Mavropanos internally in recent weeks, but a potential deal is deemed ‘very difficult’ as his price is expected to be ‘very high’.
Mavropanos joined West Ham from Bundesliga side Stuttgart in the summer of 2023 and has made 97 appearances for the club, scoring four goals.
The ‘spectacular’ Greek international has been a key player under Espirito Santo amid West Ham’s ongoing battle for Premier League survival, scoring three goals in his last three league appearances.
He netted West Ham’s only goal in the 1-1 draw with Manchester City in March, before scoring a brace in the 4-0 win over Wolves last weekend.
Prior to joining Stuttgart, Mavropanos was at Arsenal, where he struggled to break into the first team, making just eight appearances in four years with the Gunners.

Despite a turbulent season, it appears several West Ham players could be set for big-money moves this summer, including midfielder Mateus Fernandes.
The 21-year-old, who only joined the Hammers from Southampton last summer, has reportedly attracted interest from Manchester United.
The Old Trafford side are said to view Fernandes as a low-cost addition to midfield, with his valuation potentially dropping further if West Ham are relegated.
With Casemiro’s departure confirmed, United are believed to be targeting two new midfielders this summer, with the shortlist including Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson and Newcastle’s Sandro Tonali.
