Keith Hackett was disappointed with the way Farai Hallam handled a flashpoint in Leeds United‘s win over Wolves.

Leeds United secured an all-important three points against Wolves on Saturday, which may be enough to cement their spot in the Premier League for another season.

However, as always, the clash wasn’t without some controversy, with one flashpoint when Aaronson and Ladislav Krejci clashed late in the second half.

The Leeds star was booked for his involvement in the incident, while Krejci escaped without punishment.

And upon reviewing the footage from Leeds’ win over Wolves, Hackett was disappointed by the reaction of Farai Hallam.

Ladislav Krejci fortunate to escape booking in Leeds defeat

The incident involving the pair was innocuous to say the least, though Krejci certainly made the most of it, or at least attempted to.

Aaronson was fouled by the Czechia defender, with the Leeds star then getting to his feet to confront him, with a slight push in his back while he walked away.

Of course, Krejci went down holding his head in an attempt to get Aaronson dismissed, much to the annoyance of Hackett, who believes he should have been punished.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, the former PGMOL chief said: “The referee was in a good position and witnessed this aggressive push by Aaronson on Krejci and was correctly cautioned.

“I was disappointed that the referee, having witnessed that initial challenge and then the fall to the ground attempting to get his opponent sent off, was not also cautioned for unsporting behaviour.”

Daniel Farke must have sly word with Brenden Aaronson after incident

Aaronson did little wrong, all being said, but his reaction to the challenge was still needless, and players will always attempt to deceive officials when that happens.

With that said, it is an act of petulance from the USMNT international, that is completely unnecessary given the fact that he was awarded the foul.

It’s small things like that that can often come back to bite you, and Daniel Farke will be aware of that based on past incidents.
