It was a brilliant time for the Frenchman to get his first for the club, and Iraola told the Daily Echo: “We were joking yesterday, it was bizarre!
“Normally in the minus one, we always do some finishing and he was scoring goals and we were joking with him that the goal was coming.

“I'm really happy for him because he's been so consistent, so reliable this season and to score his first goal, no, for us in the Premier League.
“I think it's, it's very nice for him and, and also his teammates were the first ones to congratulate him.”
Bournemouth led 1-0 at the interval, after Marcus Tavernier’s goal from close range opened the scoring, and the Cherries looked comfortable.
Iraola said his side performed well in the first 45 minutes, and said: “I think we scored the 1-0 and also we had a couple of very clear chances, the Evanilson one and probably at halftime you are happy because you are doing well.
“But I knew it was not enough with one goal.

“We talked during the halftime we will need more goals because Newcastle, they are always a threat.
“Every ball in behind they are so fast, the last line, the three players, they put the striker and the two wingers that in every situation they can win those kinds of races.
“Probably I value more the reaction after the 1-1.
“The momentum changes, the stadium pushes, the atmosphere changes a little bit, and I think we still have kept some composure, still wanting to play the ball, and the second goal of Adri has arrived after, I think, a very nice play.”

Newcastle responded in the second half and equalised through Will Osula.
Iraola said he never felt completely comfortable and said they had discussed at the break that their hosts would come back into the game.
“We were talking they will react because they always do, and they will push and they will put us under some pressure,” he said.
“We have to stay calm, accept some situations. And I think it has happened like this. I think we were not as comfortable as we've been in the first half.
“I think second half, they were pressing us a lot more and we've had some situations there that we had to defend our box.
“But you have to accept when you play against teams like this in this stadium that there are moments where they will put you under pressure.”
