With games running out and Chelsea drifting further and further from the Champions League places, tonight’s game against Man U is another huge one for the Blues’ future.
Liam Rosenior has to do all he can to get a result, and we’re very curious what team he will pick.
Chelsea to line up strongest possible side to take on Man U
In goal we’ll have Robert Sanchez. Reece James isn’t quite back from his hamstring injury, so expect to see Malo Gusto stay at right back. Wesley Fofana and Jorrel Hato weren’t amazing against Man City in our last game, but they did well enough that we expect them to get another go today, unless Trevoh Chalobah makes a miracle return from injury.
In midfield, Moises Caicedo is a no brainer. We expect he will stay partnered with Andrey Santos, although Romeo Lavia could also come in.
Enzo Fernandez should return from a ban for a start in attacking midfield, meaning Cole Palmer is shifted to the wing and Estevao drops out. Pedro Neto will play off the other flank, with Joao Pedro leading the line.
In other news…
Pedro Neto has called on this game to be a “turning point” for his team as they take on Man U.
Marc Cucurella was also interviewed before the game, and he made some big claims about Chelsea’s season so far.
